Natural Hair as I see it, is BEAUTIFUL, you may ask if so, why don't I wear my hair in its natural state??? Hmm that is a question that I've been asking myself. I mean i have always admired it but never really had the urge to cut off all my relaxed hair and let my natural kinks grow out. Well for me its becasue i never thought it was actually possible to do and even so HOW???? I mean WHERE does one begin?? HOW do you wear it, let alone style it??? Basically when it comes to Natural Hair Care, I am just plain CLUELESSS!!!!!. i do see some women wearing their hair natural but not in a way that appeals to me or even inspire me to go natural (maybe its because they haven't discover the natural hair youtube community yet- LOL). i personally love big hair, goes with my small facial features but unfortunately my relaxed hair doesnt give me that option, hence i always wear updos no matter wherever i'm going plus they do make me look CLASSY. Here is a pic of my signature hairstyle. YESSS i do have a signature hairstyle- laugh all you can.

I personally met her at work, she was travelling with the airline i work for and had the privellege to meet her. The first thing that i noticed about her was of course her NATURAL HAIR, she was wearing an updo similar to mine and i fell in love with it instantly.
she is one lady with classy kinks- her hair is always up; looks like i've met my match- yaayyyy.
i knew with natural hair i could achieve my "big hair look" but the thought of putting scissors to my healthy relaxed hair was not something that i was brave enough to do. so i stuck to my updos with my thin relaxed hair until it started breaking off badly and thinning which got me upset cos i couldnt get my updo to go as i high as i wanted to. Could this be a blessing in disguise????
yes my dear friends, it was!!! >HALLELUJAH<; i took up swimming lessons last year and really didnt think of coming into contact with CHLORINE -EVIL would be such a disaster to my hair. anyways, what i didnt know was chlorine was drying, meaning plenty of MOISTURE for the hair and a strong regimen to keep the hair healthy. Now you're tellimg me. where were you 10 months ago???? Anywhoo as i was saying my hair was in a right mess and a needed a quick fix. i got told by the hairdresser to keep it short and still relaxed. however i wore some protective styles in the mean time in a hope of a remedy but that wasn't the case. i wore mostly braids and cornrows, really didnt like weaves, i went off them a while ago, dont know why though.
i was already 4 months post relaxer so it was easier for me to transition from there till August (in 4 days :-) )which will be 8 months post and then do the BC.
this blog is to help me document and keep track of my hair, i will be posting about inspiration, hair care, challenegs, expericences etc etc. so please join me as i make the journey to discover my kinks and hopefully with your help and other natural beautiful sistas out there, i can turn my so called "NAPPY" hair into CLASSY KINKY CURLY NATURAL HAIR- you get the idea, Go Figure lol.
